About Me

A picture of me, Catherine Lynch, play therapist. Standing by a wallpapered wall.

My name is Catherine Lynch.

I am a mum, a qualified play therapist and a qualified primary school teacher.

I provide therapy services in school. If you are a parent, carer or teacher who knows a child who might benefit from support please get in touch with me. If I cannot provide support in person I can give advice or refer you to someone who can support you.

I am on the Register of Play and Creative Arts Therapists that has been accredited by the Professional Standards Authority. My membership with PTUK is renewed annually. You can find me on the Accredited Play Therapy Register by searching my name or you can email me directly at clplaytherapy@gmail.com.

When I was teaching I was drawn to working with the children who were finding school challenging. I loved taking a play-based approach to learning. After working as a teacher for many years I decided to train with PTUK so I could better support the children with social and emotional needs.

When I am not working I love reading, listening to podcasts and spending time outside. And playing, I do a lot of playing...
